Nintendo has dropped a free demo on the eShop today for the upcoming new entry in the Tomodachi Life series, ahead of the game’s full launch on Nintendo Switch next month on April 16.
This Living the Dream demo, dubbed the ‘Welcome Version’, lets you create up to three Mii characters and get an initial feel for the island life that the full game will offer when it arrives in a little over three weeks. Those who finish this new demo will unlock a random hamster costume (really) which will then carry on over to the full game when it releases.
I took the demo for a spin, and yep it has that oddball charm:
You can download the demo from the eShop here, and the full game is out on April 16.
