All Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase announcements (with trailers + release info)
Orbitals
Hell yeah, Orbitals. This is one of my most anticipated games of the year. Thrilled to get another look at this rad looking sci-fi, anime co-op adventure. It’s a Switch 2 exclusive, has GameShare support, and is slated for a summer release. Here’s the latest trailer:
Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse
Announced today is this pearl diving seaside mystery visual novel. Arriving on February 19. Pre-orders are open now.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters
This over-the-top footy action is slated for this year.

Valheim
A survival sim, arriving at some point this year.
Hollow Knight: Switch 2 Edition
An upgraded version of this Metroidvania darling. Coming later today. It’s a free upgrade if you have the original Switch version, which is nice.
eFootball Kick-Off
Pro Evo lives on, somewhat, in this football romp. Another coming this summer.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
A new era-spanning HD-2D adventure. Unlike other HD-2D games, this one isn’t turn-based. June 18, 2026.
Super Bomberman Collection
A collection of several Bomberman games, some of which have never been released in the West. Available later today, and has GameShare support.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The second entry in this reimagining of the PS1 classic is coming to Switch 2. It’s arriving on June 3, and pre-orders open today.
Pragmata
I like the look of this sci-fi hacking adventure, and thankfully a demo has just dropped on the eShop. The full game is out April 24.
Turok: Origins
Take down primal creatures either on your own, or with pals online. Looks like Turok is taking a Monster Hunter approach. It’s out this autumn.
Kyoto Xanadu
High school monster takedowns. It’s out this summer.
Digimon Story Time Stranger
Digital monsters aplenty. July 10. Pre-orders open today.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endles Ragnarok
This action RPG arrives July 9.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Buddy up with ‘Monsties’ to help you on your journey. March 13, 2026. Demo available on the eShop now.
Arcade Archives & Console Archives
Rave Racer
Namco’s 1995 arcade racer comes to Switch.
Doraemon
Hamster’s excellent work with the Arcade Archives series continues with a new ‘Console Archives’ collection. First up is Doraemon, others include:

Cool Boarders
PS1 gamers had a lot of love for this snowboarding sports game. Cool to see it being made available to modern audiences.
Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos
This, along with Cool Boarders, is a shadow drop and is available now.
Resident Evil Requiem
The ninth mainline Resident Evil game arrives on Switch 2, bringing its usual creepiness. February 27. Pre-orders are open now. Resident Evil 7 and 8 are also dropping on Switch 2 the same day. There’s also an ugly Pro Controller coming, along with some neat Amiibo.

The base game, with all six expansions. February 24. Pre-orders open up later today.

A lovely globe-trotting adventure featuring Indy. It’s out on May 12 for Switch 2. Pre-orders open up later today.
