Here’s my play-through of GameCube classic Luigi’s Mansion, which was recently added to the Nintendo Switch Online service.
EARLY ACCESS: Hanafuda Club members saw this first. | 🔓 It’s now been UNLOCKED for all!
Before you get into the video I figured it would be fun to share a few facts about the game:
- Before being set in a haunted Mansion, the idea of setting the game in a Japanese-style ‘ninja’ mansion was explored.
 - Prior to being announced as a launch title, the game was showcased as a tech demo at Nintendo Space World in 2000.
 - Kazumi Totaka, of Totaka’s Song fame, is the uncredited voice of Professor E. Gadd.
 - During development there was a functioning stereoscopic 3D version of the game, but as 3D TV support was lacking it was dropped.
 - Although many think of this as Luigi’s debut game, it’s actually the third — The first (something of a stretch) is an LCD watch game called Luigi’s Hammer Toss, and the second is the rather bad Mario is Missing.

Ok, let’s get to the play-through!

If folks like stuff like this I’ll be happy to do more of it — was fun to revisit this one!
