Hey,
here’s this week’s issue of
Switch Weekly
, with all the Nintendo links worth checking out from the past seven days. I’ve been writing this whilst watching the Germany Vs Mexico World Cup group game, so keep getting distrated.
Anywho, E3 has come and gone, so as you might expect we’ve got plenty to dive into.
Just like Nintendo signalled, they would be focusing on Smash Bros at this E3 — and boy did they; perhaps a little too much? The game looks great either way, and will be landing just before Christmas.
As expected,
Fornite did drop
, arriving on the Switch to much fanfare, and seeing
over two million downloads
in less than 24 hour hours (which is kind of insane). Like many, I also came up against problems trying to play as a result of
Sony’s stance on cross-play
, it’s frustrating to say the least
That’s about all from me, thanks for reading and enjoy the issue.
Cheers,
Chris
.

Fortnite on Switch has built-in voice chat, no app required
I’ve tried this and it works great, the voice quality is surprisingly decent. So it’s infruiting to see that Nintendo don’t have a similar setup for games like Splatoon 2, instead requiring you use some lame mobile app (or go without completely). What gives?

The arcade version of Donkey Kong is now on the Switch, and believe it or not this marks the first official release of this original Arcade version from back in 1981. Worth a watch for any gaming history enthusiasts.
