Hey
, here’s issue 101 of Switch Weekly, with all the Nintendo news you need to know.
First off, I’d like to say a thanks to those of you who reached out with kind words of support and thanks following
last week’s 100th issue
. Here’s to the next 100!
This week Starlink, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, Jackbox Party 5, Dark Souls Remastered, Lego DC Super-Villains and Warriors Orochi 4 are all hitting the eShop
(to name a few)
.
As for me, I’ve been playing a few things including the superb Overcooked 2
(it’s 20% off on the eShop at time of writing!)
, The Swindle
(I’ll have my review to share next week)
, and more Mini Metro
(it’s a perfect ten minute ‘end of day’ wind down sort of game)
.
Anyway, all the usual links and releases below. Until next week,
Cheers,
Chris
.
A super-easy version of The Legend of Zelda is out now on Switch
This was a surprise addition to the NES app last week. It’s the original NES-era Zelda, but made a little easier — you start out with cash, keys and items. I’m all for Nintendo offering up special, remixed or altered versions of their old games. More please!

Google’s Project Stream is impressive so far
This isn’t strictly Switch related, but Google’s Project Stream, which allows users to play top-tier games
(like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey)
in a Chrome browser tab, recently went into early testing. It apparently works well — so with ‘cloud’ releases of games on the Switch in Japan
(
such as Resident Evil 7
)
being a thing, I think this marks an interesting trend of what may be on the horizon as something more prevalent.

NS Glasses 3D VR Headset for Switch
The Switch doesn’t do VR, so this thing really ain’t a Virtual Reality headset. It’s two lenticular lenses that attemt to give the wearer a 3D effect. Looks bad.
