#119: Nintendo round-up 🎮

Hi, issue 119 of Switch Weekly here, with this week’s Nintendo round-up.

The big news this week is without doubt that of Reggie Fils-Aimé’s depature from Nintendo of America . He joined the company back in 2003 and I remember his introduction at E3 2004 well — he made a bold debut claiming he was about to kick ass and take names . Thanks to the success of the Switch, and after over a decade in the job, he’s going out on a high. His replacement is a Mr. Bowser ( queue obvious jokes ) .

Last week I launched the second State of Switch survey , the response so far has been nothing short of incredible. For 2018’s survey a little over 1,500 people filled it out, this year over 10,000 have taken the time to have their say. If you’re yet to fill it out, you can do so here . I’ll be closing the survey next weekend ahead of March 3rd (the Switch’s launch anniversary) — so you can probably expect the results in two weeks, once I’ve had a chance to dig into the data.

Anyway, all the usual news, reviews and upcoming games are below. I count around 30 games hitting the eShop this week — highlights for me include ‘Trials Rising’, ‘Ape Out’ and the new ‘ToeJam & Earl’ game. Enjoy the issue!
