#129: Your Nintendo Update
Your Nintendo digest for the week ending May 5th.
|
Still no baby.
Hey, here’s issue #129 of Switch Weekly , with your round-up of the Nintendo news you need to see. A relatively uneventful week all things considered, but as E3 is looming next month it’s fairly typical for things to go a bit quiet — expect things to get increasingly interesting as it approaches though. I’m hoping that Animal Crossing is a big focus for Nintendo at the show, but I’d also love to see some Pikmin news. What is it you want to see announced ? In non-Nintendo news: We’re still waiting on the arrival of my son. As someone pointed out to me on Twitter , being a Nintendo fan I should be used to delays! 😅 Anyway, I imagine he will arrive in the next week, so it’s a safe bet that the newsletter will be taking a break next week. All the usual good stuff is below, including a list of what games are on the horizon — Shakedown: Hawaii seems to be the highlight next week.
Thanks for reading,
P.S — Hello to those joining via Ruby Weekly, if you’ve any comments of feedback, just hit reply. 👋 Donkey Kong Jr, VS. Excitebike and Clu Clu Land are (probably) your NES Online titles for May — The interesting one here is VS. Excitebike, as it was only released on the Famicom Disk System in Japan. Daniel Vuckovic // Vooks Gris is a mini masterpiece — Gris came out late last year and I never got round to playing it — this review has firmly put it back on my radar as something I need to play. . Matt Birchler // Birchtree Gaming ▶ Inside the studio behind SteamWorld — A look behind the scenes at the shared offices of Thunderful, Image & Form, and Zoink in Gothenburg, Sweden . Alex Olney // Nintendo Life ▶ Virtua Racing for Switch vs Arcade and every console port — John Linneman takes a look at the new Switch version of Virtua Racing ( currently only available in Japan ), stacking it up against every console conversion and the 90s arcade original.
