Your Nintendo digest for the week ending May 26th.

Portable zombies.
Hey, here’s issue #131 of Switch Weekly , with a round-up of Nintendo news from the past week. I’ve not had much chance to game this week, but in the moments that I did grab, I’ve been playing through Celeste. Yes, I’m late to the party on this one, but I’m really enjoying it — It’s just the right level of challenge for me to not get annoyed and throw the towel in. I think I’m fast approaching the end, but there is plenty to do if you’re a 100% completionist. Brothers and Gato Roboto are two games hitting the eShop next week that may be worth a look I reckon. Not much else from me, so I’ll let you dig into the issue. Remember, if you’ve any feedback or comments, you can just hit reply to this email — always happy to talk. 😊
Catch you next week,
Resident Evil 4, Remake & Zero on Switch are competent ports of brilliant games — I’ve seen a few grumblings about the price of these ports ( and the lack of motion controls in RE4 ) – but it seems having these on a portable is a win for many. John Linneman // Digital Foundry – Eurogamer REVIEW Assassin’s Creed III Remastered — “easily the weakest ‘Remastered’ version of the game that’s been released thus far” PJ O’Reilly // Nintendo Life Game Freak ‘prioritising’ original game projects — The Pokémon developer is “increasingly prioritising original game creation, in order to grow the experience of its staff” . Andy Robinson // VGC ⬇️ Editor’s note: I included the below item in last week’s issue, but the link was wrong. Here it is again with the correct address. Why haven’t more publishers and devs learned from Super Smash Bros? — With the celebration of all things gaming that is ‘Smash’, Nintendo have highlighed just how arbitrary many of the barriers to collaboration truly are.
