Feeling Lite.
Hi , here’s issue #148 of Switch Weekly, with the Nintendo news worth seeing. Big week for Switch owners! Not only did a ton of big games drop (Hi zelda), but the Switch Lite also arrived . So depending on what you picked up I can imagine your wallet may be feeling a little lite …. Anyway, after the summer lull, we are full steam ahead now, with a load of releases coming thick and fast in the run up to the holidays. I grabbed both Sayonara Wild Hearts and Untitled Goose Game — I’m on the fence as to whether to grab Zelda or hold it for the Christmas break. Loads of great reviews to dig into in the issue below, so if you’re on the fence about anything maybe they will help. Next week is another big one, with over 20 games hitting the Switch, including Dead by Daylight, Star Wars Jedi Knight II, Darksiders II, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Dragon Quest XI S – finally. Now, following a request, I’m also trying to denote which games are also seeing physical releases. Just lookout for the little box emoji 📦 – those games are getting a boxed release too. I may miss some, so please bare with me whilst I get my sources on which games are hitting stores lined up. I hope this proves useful to all you collectors. 😊
Thanks for taking time away from playing Zelda to read this,

REVIEW
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
—Many reviews have highlighted that the game suffers from some minor framerate issues but that this is
“a masterly remake that preserves Koholint Island for a new generation”
.
REVIEW Sayonara Wild Hearts — ” packs so many varied and beautiful ideas into its brief life and masters so many different styles that even though there’s a real disappointment it’s over so quickly, what it did give you will remain with you for an extremely long time. A true creative masterpiece. ” I played through this the other day, and although it is short I had a blast playing it – a real tight, well executed idea/vision. If you want to try it, it’s also available in Apple Arcade ( for which you can get a free trial ). Chris Scullion // Nintendo Life REVIEW Untitled Goose Game — “a well-crafted hijinks simulator”. I’ve got this waiting to play next, and I’m really looking forward to the slapstick gameplay and just goofing around. For such a niche concept, it’s reviewing well ! Angelo Valdivia // Vooks Unheadlined Goose Game interview —House House’s Jacob Strasser and Michael McMaster on the studio’s surprising growth from gosling to gander Rebekah Valentine // gamesindustry How a joke hatched gaming’s most horrible goose Gavin Lane // Nintendo Life REVIEW Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch —This review highlights some significant performance issues with this “masterpiece” yet notes that playing it ” handheld was still inherently delightful ” . It may be worth holding out to see how this plays out with any potential updates? Daniel Thompson // Nintendo Enthusiast ▶ Nintendo Switch Lite unboxing — A quick look at the new hardware. Kevin Kenson // YouTube Mick Fraser // God is a Geek REVIEW GRID Autosport — “a jack of all trades that doesn’t sacrifice quality as a result” Chris Scullion // Nintendo Life ▶ What SNES games on Switch are worth playing? (Besides the totally obvious) — Looks beyond the obvious choices like Super Mario World, Super Metroid, and Link to the Past. SNES Drunk // YouTube
