#284: Your Nintendo Update

Hey , issue # 284 of Switch Weekly here, with your look at the week in Nintendo.

Every Sunday I sit down and take a look through what games are coming to the Switch in the week ahead. More often than not, just one or two titles will personally take my eye out of the usual ~30 or so titles releasing. This week however, plenty of stuff has caught my attention , and is worth you taking a quick look at. I’ve marked all of those with a star. ⭐️ There’s just under 30 games coming out , with lots of variety — you’re bound to find something worth picking up. Let me know what you like the look of! This week I’ve been playing a fair bit of Mini Motorways — it came to Switch following the last Indie World. I played it first a few years back on iOS, but there’s something about these little games from Dinosaur Polo Club that I find so compelling — so I’m back for another playthrough. Simple, and kinda soothing to get into. Recommended.

• Flewfie’s Adventure — Saccharin sweet 2D adventure.
• Pinku Kult: Hex Mortis — Fight demons in this metropolis adventure/puzzle RPG. M for mature.
• ⭐️ The Big Con – Grift of the Year Edition — Comedic crime adventure set in the 90s – in which you play a teen con artist.

Thursday, June 2

• ⭐️🎮 Card Shark — A card game with a difference. Uncover a conspiracy in this adventure of ” cunning, intrigue, and delectable deceit “.
• Loopers — A Japanese sci-fi visual novel.
• Dungeon Village 2 — A Kairosoft sim, building your own village in a fantasy setting. Looks cute.
• ⭐️ Fishing Paradiso — A ‘heavenly’ narrative-driven adventure game (that’s described as therapeutic/relaxing).
• Jigsaw Fun 3-in-1 Collection — 300 puzzles to solve with touch controls.
• ⭐️ Tokoyo: The Tower of Perpetuity — Journey to the top of an ever changing tower. Action platformer.
• 🎮 Repentant — Hand-painted dramatic point and click adventure.
• Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag — Celtic myth platformer. Reminds me of early Switch game Wulverblade.
• ⭐️ Souldiers — 2D action adventure game — has lovely 16-bit style graphics.
• ⭐️ Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery — Interactive fiction game about an aspiring artist.
• Lamplight City — 19th century steampunk-ish detective adventure game.
• QUByte Classics: Jim Power: The Lost Dimension — Classic action-adventure platformer.
• Gravitar: Recharged — Arcade space action.
• Pretty Girls Speed — Play cards, but fast.
• Surface Rush — Arcade game under the sea, with 132 levels to tackle.
• Cool Animals — Basic puzzle game.

Friday, June 3

• Wonder Boy Collection — Four classic platformers in one.
• ⭐️ Moonrise Fall — Atmospheric exploration puzzler set in a “supernatural forest”.
• EleMetals: Death Metal Death Match! — Demonic arcade local-multiplayer platform fighter.
• ⭐️ Ten — Take on ten-second deathtrap rooms in this challenging platformer.
• KnightOut — A co-op party castle brawler.

• Secrets of Magic 3: Happy Halloween — A real timely release for this puzzle game.
