Nintendo Switch 2 may sport an 8-inch display — An analyst suggests that the successor to the Switch will have a bigger screen than that found in the existing OLED model, but it will reportedly utilise an LCD panel. This isn’t a huge surprise really, as I could totally see Nintendo taking this supposed ‘step back’ — the company’s long running modus operandi is to make things with cheaper tech, so offering a cheaper LCD version, alongside an OLED one (whether at launch or later down the line) seems entirely within the realms of possibility. Not only that but display technology has also come along a fair bit since 2017, so we shall see.
