▶ Nintendo Switch 2 – First-look trailer — A brief look at what we can expect from Nintendo's next machine. We see an original Switch transform into a device with a bigger screen, and larger, magnetic controllers — backwards compatibility gets confirmed here, as does a new Mario Kart game. The massive '2' we see should put any confusion to rest on just what this is. We will learn more at a Direct in early April — If I had to bet, the console will hopefully launch around June. 🤞 Nintendo of America // YouTube Here's where you can go hands-on with the Switch 2 — Ticket registration is now open for several cities around the world. Some of the decisions around filtering and curation that are turned on by default here have come under some valid criticisms, but it appears that the team working on the new site are taking feedback on board and tweaking as they go. It's not perfect, but to have more options to navigate the nightmare that is the eShop is a much welcome one, so I really appreciate the effort that's gone in here. DekuDeals and Switch Scores are of course other great options for getting your game information. Sidebar: Any longtime subscribers to Switch Weekly will know I've somewhat struggled with trying to find the right balance between curation, exclusion, and simply sharing everything when it comes to what games are coming out — it's a tricky thing to know which is the best approach, but choice is always a good thing!
