Nintendo’s secret Switch 2 showing at Gamescom — Rumours suggest that Nintendo shared Switch 2 details with a few select partners at Gamescom last month. Chris Brandrick // overkill ▶ A special message from Shigeru Miyamoto and Charles Martinet — This video just raises more questions than answers really. It’s sweet enough, but it has no more information than the initial text-based announcement a few weeks ago. If Charles has a new role, it would have been great for him to make that debut at Nintendo Live. The video is on Twitter, but not YouTube. I dunno, something feels off about this to me. Nintendo of America // Twitter New Nintendo patent suggests Switch 2 may solve joycon drift — Hall-sensing sticks are a no brainer at this point. Dylan Horetski // Dexerto New interview with Zelda boss suggests there are no plans for TOTK DLC — I think I’m ok with this — Tears is a huge game. If the translation here is correct, I feel putting a line under it and moving on is fine — it’s a complete, finite project. Although as pointed out on the Switch Weekly Discord, a Hero Mode would be a welcome addition. Via an interview with Famitsu . Jim Norman // Nintendo Life INTERVIEW Doug Bowser talks Switch demand, Charles Martinet, and more Logan Plant // IGN REVIEW When puzzle game Chants of Sennaar is on a roll, there’s nothing else like it Emily Price // Polygon Chants of Sennaar, a game about translating languages, is one of 2023’s hidden gems — I need to get this game. Stephen Totilo // Axios REVIEW Fae Farm — 2023 seems to be the year of the farm sim, and this one seems to break ” the mould by introducing a variety of elements that work in the context of a farming RPG “, while also introducing ” many fantasy elements that just make this different enough to stand out from the crowd “.
