Your Nintendo digest for the week ending November 28.

Bowser speaks out. Hey, Chris here with issue # 259 of Switch Weekly, and this week’s Nintendo round-up. Hope you’re doing well. It seems things are notably quieter now as we approach the holiday period. All the big releases for the year are behind us, so it’s time to start looking ahead to 2022 — what are you looking forward to most next year ? Next week sees around 30 games released including a new Big Brain Academy (a good holiday game no doubt), along with a ton of Danganronpa (not something I’m overly familar with). The full list is below for you.
In non-Nintendo news, a few days back I decided to
pick up an Xbox Series S
after giving the new Halo a try. I sunk countless hours into Halo 2 and 3, so if anything was going to get me to pull the trigger a new Halo was it. It’s been a joy to check out Game Pass — always interesting to gain a bit of exposure to other ways of doing business. Microsoft have got an appealing offer here.
Thanks for reading. Catch you next week,
Nintendo issues internal response to Activision-Blizzard reports —In an internal email sent to staff the Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser noted how ongoing reports of sexual harassment and a toxic work culture at Activision Blizzard ” run counter ” to the values of Nintendo. It’s good to see Bowser make a similar condemnation to those seen from both Microsoft and Sony, however I would have prefered for this to be a more public disapproval — these objections coming to public knowledge via leaked internal memos somewhat weakens the potency of the message. Imran Khan // Fanbyte REVIEW Death’s Door — It seems I overlooked this one last week as one worth keeping an eye on, as this has reviewed very well indeed — described here as a must-play ‘Zelda-like’ that’s ” a modern classic, utilizing old gameplay ideas in a new setting to make for a short and sweet experience you won’t want to miss “. Here’s another from Nathan Ellingsworth at Pocket Tactics who said this ” moody miniature masterpiece is a perfectly curated action game, and one of the best Switch games of the year “. Mitch Vogel // Nintendo Life Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes become second biggest Switch launch in Japan —Kinda surprised to see these outpacing Sword and Shield .
