Leak reveals a Zelda-themed Switch 2 and Pro Controller

Images shared to X earlier today reveal packaging for a Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console, along with a new Zelda-styled Pro Controller.

The images, posted by the Centro LEAKS account, show empty EU/UK boxes for both a limited edition version of Nintendo’s Switch 2 and a Pro Controller. Both the console and the new controller feature Triforce motifs, with green and gold accents. The Pro Controller also features the Hylian Crest at its center.

These boxes look the part to me, and unless they are a very convincing forgery I’m inclined to take this as a legitimate packaging leak.

These unannounced devices are no doubt set to debut alongside the highly anticipated Ocarina of Time remake coming later this year — all of which are marking the Zelda series 40th anniversary.

Many are expecting Nintendo to show more of the upcoming game soon. I imagine any such reveal would be part of a broader Zelda-specific Direct — where the game, this new hardware, and maybe even a movie trailer could debut. Now that these leaked images are out in the wild, it suggests that such a Direct may well be imminent.
