#267: Your Nintendo Update

Hey , Chris here with issue # 267 of Switch Weekly — your Nintendo round-up for the past week. Hope you’re well.

So, Pokemon Legends seems to be a hit — all the early reviews are super positive, and it looks like this may finally be the shot in the arm this series has needed. Now of course, Pokemon has remained a huge series/seller for over two decades now, so it’s not like a change of formula was needed from a sales point of view — however, as someone who hasn’t really been interested in a mainline Pokemon title in years, the changes in Arceus seem great. I’ve not had chance to play it yet. My copy is on the way.

There’s just under of 30 games landing on the Switch next week. List is below for you.

• McDroid — An arcade game in which famring and tower defense meet. (Already available in U.S.)
• The Dead Tree of Ranchiuna — Walking sim with platforming/puzzle elements. M for mature.
• The Hundred Year Kingdom — Turn-based world-building sim.
• Yeah Yeah Beebiss II — Retro-style action platformer for two players.

Thursday, February 3

• Draw a Stickman: Epic — Drawing puzzle / cartoon RPG.
• Food Delivery Battle — Arcade racer that seemingly pits delivery bike riders against each other.
• Phlegethon — A rather 90s looking gloomy monster shooter.
