|
Preload all the games… Hello , Chris here with issue # 277 of Switch Weekly — your weekly update on all things Nintendo. Hope you’re well. So next week there’s over 30 games coming to the Switch, including a game about finding lost socks in a washing machine — the Switch is never short on variety . 😅 The full list is in the issue below as usual. In other news, issue 61 of the excellent Switch Player Magazine is out now, and it features a Kirby-themed crossword that I put together , marking my debut with the long-running physical Switch magazine. It’s well worth a look — you can get your copy here . Enjoy the issue, and as always please do feel free to hit reply with any comments.
Cheers

🎮 Currently Playing — EarthBound, Kirby and the Forgotten Land REVIEW Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — This mammoth release spanning nine movies ” captures all of the key points in a charming way – it’s the quintessential Lego experience” . Mark Walker for SwitchUp is also a fan calling it ” a hugely ambitious project “. There’s clearly a lot of game for your money here. However, Tom Phillips at Eurogamer ( reviewing the Series X version ) noted that the ” humourous if simple fun ” did often prove a bit cluttered and repetitive in places. Kayleigh Partleton // Pocket Tactics REVIEW Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition — The original PS1 release back in 2000 was something of a ” wild and weird” one that was not really the follow-up to Chrono Trigger that many expected, however the resulting product was ultimately positively received. Neal shares how this new edition is just as riveting on Switch now as it was years ago, concluding that this “Radical Dreamers Edition is the best and friendliest way to play it` “. There’s a video version of the review here if you’d prefer. There’s 15 minutes or so of game reveals and announcements here. Nintendo Life // YouTube Kingdom Hearts IV officially announced, no platforms confirmed Tom Brown // Nintendo Wire Epic Games is making a Lego metaverse — Not much detail on this yet (and no word on what platforms), but it seems like a smart move in the huge ‘Minecraft / Roblox’ space — and one that given LEGO’s track record should hopefully be a well considered digital safe space. The world needs better alternatives to Roblox. Stephen Totilo, Ina Fried // Axios REVIEW 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Mitch Vogel // Nintendo Life REVIEW The House Of The Dead: Remake — More zombies, rotten controls Mike Diver // Gaming Bible REVIEW Chinatown Detective Agency is a mystery worth solving Go Nintendo

Brandon Johnson // SuperJump Did Sonic really lose to Mario? — It’s t he age-old rivalry, reconsidered. Nicole Carpenter // Polygon ▶ Rearranging island tunes in Animal Crossing: How 16 notes become millions — A bit of a deep dive here into the musical make up of your island tune in New Horizons and how the melody you make gets used throughout the game.
