Hello , Chris here with your Nintendo update for the week. Hope you’ve had a good one.

Non-E3 is pretty much over now, and Nintendo got through it without making too much noise — so all eyes turn to Gamescom now in August (post Pikmin 4 release), where Nintendo are confirmed to have a presence. Which pretty much means that unless we get a Direct anytime soon, we’ve got a summer of speculation to look forward to as we all collectively ponder what’s next…

Anyway, beyond gazing into a crystal ball… there’s just over 20 games hitting the eShop next week — including a Super Meat Boy take on the classic SEGA puzzler ‘Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine’. The full list is below for you as ever.

▶ “Who ASKED for this??” (Everybody 1-2 Switch) — Sure, this wasn’t the sorta game folks were clamouring for, and I am not lining up to grab this — but it’s worth remebering wacky experimental Nintendo is often the best Nintendo. I’d be super curious to see how this one performs sales wise; the first did over 3.5 million copies btw.
