▶ Nintendo Direct June 2024 — If you ain’t caught the Direct yet, here’s the link you need. It’s 40 jam packed minutes of solid announcemnents and reveals for the next six to eight months. The highlight has to be that surprise Zelda game, but there’s much more, including a new Mario + Luigi RPG, new hardware, another Mario Party, and a proper look at Metroid Prime 4…finally. A real good un! Here’s a text-based rundown of events if you’d rather skim. Switch Weekly // YouTube Nintendo brought out the fan-pleasers for Switch’s final summer Direct Andy Robinson // VGC Nintendo Direct shows Switch is going out in its Prime Nathan Ellingsworth // Dexerto ▶ Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Trailer analysis, theory and speculation — An on-the-fly detailed look at the Metroid trailer. Liam’s enthusiasm here is clear. FWIW, I thought the trailer looked great on Switch, but the limited gameplay shown so far seems a little safe perhaps? It’s out in November, but the preorder page is already up. Moises Taveras // Kotaku Nintendo won’t confirm studio behind Mario & Luigi: Brothership, but says “original devs” are involved — This trend of Nintendo keeping tight lipped on who is working on their titles is a bit odd if nothing else.
