A Switch 2 reveal…this month?

Hey, issue #398 of Switch Weekly here with your Nintendo round-up and look ahead at what games are on the horizon.

First up, a huge thank you to all those who reached out with kind words about the newsletter last week. Over 50 of you got in touch, and it honestly means so much to have a humble reminder that this digest remains of value to readers. I hope all your interactions will have helped with the email issue I was facing, but it’s early days on that front yet. If I haven’t responded to your email yet — I will! Thanks again.

In other news, I really feel like Twitter ( or X if you insist ) is pretty much cooked now ( maybe burnt is more appropriate ) — as such I’ve been spending ( wasting? ) more time on 🦋 Bluesky lately, and it really seems to be hitting its stride these past few weeks. So, I figured I’d mention it here to encourage you to maybe sign up if you’re missing ‘good Twitter’, and if you want to follow me or the newsletter you can too. I’ve also put together this Switch Weekly ‘Starter Pack’ — essentially a list of accounts I reccomend as worth a follow. This week saw the launch of Astro Bot on the PlayStation, and man the reviews have been glowing . It’s the first PS5 game I’ve truly felt the need to play, but alas no PS5 in my house! I’m only mentioning it here as it’s been amusing to me to see how many folks have made a point of comparison to how Nintendo works — touching upon the smaller scale, scope and team behind it. When compared to the massive recent failure of Concord, it’s a striking and immediate contrast for Sony to mull on.

Moving on — some weeks, I look over the upcoming list of games and kinda despair — the quality of releases is often so lacking, middling or average that I struggle to find something to really reccomend you check out — thankfully, this week isn’t like that, as there’s a fair few that I think are ⭐️ worth a click through to learn more about. With over 50 games arriving on the eShop over the next seven days, there’s bound to be something you like the look of. The full list is below, but highlights include the likes of a new Grapple Dog adventure, Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, and a Marvel vs Capcom collection. Lemme know if you grab anything.
