Nintendo announces Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster for Switch — I’m all for Wii U titles being given a second chance, and ten years on this ” most overlooked ” spin off of sorts will get just that. ( Also, sidebar: This is coming out in late March next year for the Switch. I dunno if we can read anything into that regarding anything related to Switch 2 timing…. ) Andy Robinson // VGC With Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch, the Wii U’s demise is complete Ollie Reynolds // Nintendo Life Nintendo Music – Announcement Trailer — I’ve long wanted easy access to Nintendo soundtracks on streaming services, such as Apple Music. This gets us close enough, in typical Nintendo fashion of course, where they control the entire experience. The app is solid, I can play Aquatic Ambiance for an hour , so I’m pretty happy. The limited library right now is a touch frustrating, but not at all surpising. The lack of composer credits has rightly been highlighted as a fault with the app, but, like it or not, this thread goes some way to explain why they may be lacking… Nintendo // YouTube Will the new Nintendo Music app lead to more DMCA takedowns from Nintendo? — I’d say odds are high ! Kyle Orland // Ars Technica REVIEW Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket — ” a faithful mobile card game adaptation that’s better for shiny digital collections than thrilling monster battles “. — but Ana Diaz at Polygon notes it’s a great entry point for those who’ve never played the competitive game. Jordan Minor // PC Mag
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket surpassed 10 Million downloads in its first 48 hours

Jim Norman // Nintendo Life REVIEW Life Is Strange: Double Exposure is a brilliant thriller about accepting your flaws Joshua Khan // Polygon Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp costs $20 after dropping free-to-play monetisation model — It will be half price for those who grab it early. I’m glad to see this maintained in some form beyond the usual ‘sunsetting’. Curious as to how it will perform sales wise. Tom Phillips // Eurogamer It’s becoming comical that Nintendo keeps not announcing the Switch 2 Maddy Myers // Polygon N64 classics Turok 2 & Shadow Man join Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Jason Ganos // Nintendo Wire Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is a gorgeous game that makes summer last forever Robin Bea // Inverse REVIEW Caravan SandWitch is a modest adventure game with plenty of soul — My review of this post-apocalyptic romp. I played on Steam Deck, but it’s also on Switch. There’s a video version of the review here if you’d prefer. Chris Brandrick // overkill Dan Sinker
