The Nintendo Switch 2, as described by Dbrand — The CEO of Dbrand notes that the company now has ‘actual dimensions’ of the Nintendo Switch’s successor (and shared a glimpse at a case to go with it — see above). We’re getting closer folks. Jay Peters and Sean Hollister // The Verge Switch pirate dodges Nintendo’s multimillion-dollar lawsuit — I saw some posts on Bluesky earlier this weekend, noting how the guy Nintendo was looking to sue for streaming pirated pre-release Switch games, was avoiding being served papers. Chris Brandrick // overkill ▶ NES & Game Boy – December 2024 Game Update — This is pretty sweet: Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov shares a celebratory message about Tetris for NES (and Tetris DX) landing on NSO as part of the puzzler’s 40th anniversary. Nintendo // YouTube The Game Awards left us with one big question: Will any of this run on Switch 2? Gavin Lane // Nintendo Life Nintendo acquires remaining shares of Monolith Soft Sophie McEvoy // Games Industry Nintendo’s Donkey Kong theme park adds extra a-peel to Super Nintendo World — Didn’t think I’d be sharing reviews of a Nintendo theme park ride in this newsletter when I first started it, but here we are. 😅 Andy Robinson // VGC Antonblast plays like a Wario Land made by the devil Michael McWhertor // Polygon REVIEW Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind — ” does an admirable job of channeling the ‘90s show and video game era “. Jordan Rudek // Nintendo World Report Idea Factory cancels four localizations citing contents “not complying with the Nintendo guidelines” — A rare instance of Nintendo actually having some guidelines on the eShop. Donald Theriault // Nintendo World Report The Plucky Squire may have just fixed its hand-holding problem Ian Walker // Polygon The NES Expansion Port is finally emerging from the the darkness. Why not? Ernie Smith // Tedium We’re still living in the World the Nintendo DS built, 20 years later Robin Bea // Inverse
