REVIEW Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV — What an absolute mouthful of an official title. Anyway, reviews for this one seem to paint a picture of: the base game was good, and this upgrade is fine. I think the IGN review from Logan Plant sums it up best: "still the best entry in the series, but the new content [..] adds frustrating limitations and strange design decisions to what was otherwise a polished, customizable experience". I've personally been playing it a little this week with pals, and it's kinda baffling how most of this game is an unchanged Switch 1 port with zero enhancements to speak of. Still, plenty of daft fun to be had if you can wrangle some pals together to join the party. Here's another review from Vooks, which also highlights the 'caveats everywhere'. Logan Plant // IGN Prominent YouTuber doubles down on belief that a Nintendo Direct is due this month — 4 days left! PJ O'Reilly // Nintendo Life With release news expected soon, Metroid Prime 4 has been rated — The game has just been rated (12) by the South Korean classification board. Re:Direct // YouTube Donkey Kong Bananza accessibility review Laura Dale // Access-Ability News and Updates from the July 2025 Pokémon Presents — I watched this presentation live and beyond the cool Pikachu DJ set found it rather boring. Either way, here's what was announced. Pokemon Nintendo employee data indicates the company excels at retaining workers Chris Kerr // Game Developer REVIEW WWE 2K25 — "an excellent port that holds its own against the likes of the PS5 version". PJ O'Reilly // Nintendo Life REVIEW Monument Valley 3 — The lack of touch support on these ports seems an odd omission. Lyle Pendle // Loot Level Chill REVIEW Wild Hearts S Coller Entragian // Cubed 3 ▶ The pixel-perfect art of Pokémon trainer sprites — The sprites from Gen 1 Pokemon games are such a delight, and this video shares a solid rundown of just how expressive they are and what was acheived with such a limited palette. Brandon James Greer // YouTube The tides from GameCube to Nintendo Switch 2 — Thoughts on Wave Race: Blue Storm and console power — power that's often a "conduit to realize creative ambition". Abram Buehner // Source Gaming Donkey Kong’s big comeback could pave the way for another Nintendo icon — Time to give Starfox another go? Hayes Madsen // Inverse ▶ Graphic design is the real winner of Mario Kart World — There's a ton of great, fake brands in the new Mario Kart World and this video dives into them. Wario's Premium Scrap fans rise up! Also, I just noticed Thwomp Construction uses the same font as the Switch Weekly logo. 😅 elliotisacoolguy // YouTube ▶ What Happened to Wario Land?
