Issue 100 of Switch Weekly here
, with all the Nintendo news you need to know.
This week saw the
release of the latest Mario Party
, and I was all but ready to roll the dice and buy it — but then it came to light how limited the online play was. More on this in the issue below, but sadly this has put me off grabbing it for now
(I may pick it up for some co-op games during the holidays)
. The other big story this week was the
rumour of a Switch hardware revision
coming next year. If it does happen my money would be on it probably being a cheaper model, maybe no dock?
Thoughts
?
As this week’s issue is
the big 100
, I just wanted to give an extended thanks to all of you for reading. I sent
the very first issue
back in October of 2016 to just 14 subscribers (
shout out to those still with me!
), and it now reaches hundreds of subscribers all over the world. It’s been a pleasure to both watch it grow and share all the best Switch stuff with you. As I put this newsletter together in my spare time, I’d really appreciate it if you can help
spread the word
and help me reach the next milestone.
Anyway, loads of stuff hitting the eShop next week, with another busy Thursday. Highlights include The Swindle, Game Dev Story, Tricky Towers and The World Ends With You. All this and more, below!
A huge thanks for reading, have a great week
Cheers,
Chris

Super Mario Party’s online minigame mode is outrageously limited
With 80 new minigames, it’s a real shame to see that only a handful of these can be played online. As I mentioned above, I was tempted to pick this up, but the lacklustre online has sadly put me off. Great for co-op get-togethers I guess!

REVIEW
Mega Man 11:
“a triumphant return to form”
A glowing review for the Blue Bomber’s return. This review hails it as
“a modern classic”
and
“a fitting refresh for a beloved series”
.
