Hey,
issue 110 of Switch Weekly here, with this week’s roundup on all things Switch.
A bit of a quieter week now that all of the big 2018 releases are out. It’s interesting to note a handful of games are releasing on the eShop during next weekend
(typically games hit the eShop on a weekday)
— attempting to hit the top of ‘recent releases’ for Christmas morning no doubt.
Anyway, I’ll be back next weekend for one last roundup before 2019. See you then.
Online play in Smash Bros. Ultimate is a bit of a mess
This piece is more a critique of the way Smash handles getting into a game — but as a casual player, mine is fine.
Lag wise
, I’ve had a pretty good experience, with a bit of lag in only a handful of matches. Would be nice to have dedicated servers though.

Nintendo Switch FIFA 19 Ultimate Team players shafted once again
Now, I knew going in that FIFA 19 on the Switch would not have feature parity with the much more popular Xbox and PlayStation versions, but the fact Nintendo have been promoting an in-game festive challenge this week that is not available to Switch players isn’t a good look.
*facepalm*

Upcoming Releases
All dates are EU unless otherwise stated.
Monday, 17th December:
Firewatch
— First-person walking-sim mystery in the Wyoming wilderness. I enjoyed this when I played it on the PS4.
City Builder
— Not a typical city building sim. It’s a puzzler that may be suited for younger players.
