Hi,
here’s issue 116 of Switch Weekly, with your Nintendo round-up.
Alrighty, the big release this week was without doubt Wargroove — I’ve not picked it up yet as I have a backlog I want to trim back a bit before jumping into anything else, but I’m really looking forward to it as I loved Advance Wars on the GBA and this looks to tick all those boxes as something similar.
Nintendo shared their quarterly results this past week, and Smash Bros Ultimate has done
insane numbers
, now at over 12 million shipped. The Switch itself is now at over 32 million shipped, just behind the N64’s lifetime numbers — not bad for a little under two years I’d say.
For those long time subscribers you may remember that I ran a ‘State of Switch’ survey this time last year. It asked people how they liked their Switch, what they would improve, what games they have — that sort of stuff. I’m looking to launch the 2019 survey in the next week or two, so if you have any ideas for questions I should be asking then please do hit reply to this and let me know. You can
see the results from last year’s survey right here
. Keep your eyes peeled for 2019 survey. Anyway, that’s all from me — the usual news and releases below.
Putting Switch’s 32 million shipments in context
Nintendo shared quarterly results earlier this week, with details on hardware & software sell through. Here’s a dig into the numbers, with comparisons, plus what they all mean.
