Kena: Bridge of Spirits

2021 gem Kena: Bridge of Spirits is heading to Switch 2

Ember Lab’s lovely looking ‘Kena: Bridge of Spirits‘ is heading to Nintendo Switch 2.

The action adventure game originally launched on PlayStation (PS4 & PS5) back in September 2021. It sees you play as a young spirit guide, tasked with restoring balance to an ancient village. You can get an idea as to what the game is about in this trailer:

Following its original 2021 debut, the studio’s debut game went on to pick up several awards, including Best Independent Game at The Game Awards.

This new Switch 2 version will feature the New Game+ mode, and the Anniversary DLC.

There’s also a curious link to Nintendo here that’s worth a mention: before working on their debut game, California-based Ember Lab’s created a rad Zelda fan film — which you can still see here. After nine or so years, the Majora’s Mask mini flick has racked up some 15 million views.

Josh Grier, Chief Operating Officer at Ember Lab, said that the studio is “incredibly excited to bring Kena’s journey to a whole new audience“.

Anyway, no release date for Kena just yet, but it’s due ‘this spring’ I’ll keep you posted.
