Yooka-Replaylee hits 60FPS on Switch 2 thanks to new performance update

Following a tease on X, developer Playtonic has pushed out a nice update for Yooka-Replaylee on the Nintendo Switch 2, adding in a new 60FPS Performance Mode to the game starting today.

Once updated, the collectathon platformer will see this new Performance Mode set as the gameplay default, meaning you’ll drop straight into a smoother experience without having to go digging around in settings. Of course, if you’d rather keep a higher image quality over the enhanced frame rate you can, as a Fidelity Mode option locks things back to 30FPS.

If you’ve not played this spruced up take on the 2017 original, then a demo is available on the eShop. The eShop demo has also seen an update to include these new performance improvements. Any collectables you earn within the demo do carry over to the full game if you decide to pick it up.

The game is currently 20% off — down to £19.99 / $23.99 for a limited time. The update is available to download starting today.
