▶ Indie World Showcase – October 2026 — A roughly ~15 minute presentation including the likes of Witchbrook, Slime Rancher 2, My Arms Are Longer Now (which looks hilarious), and much more. A good showing here I reckon. Nintendo of America // YouTube ▶ Pikmin Day Direct — A surprise Direct landed this weekend, featuring Miyamoto deciding to declare November 1st Pikmin Day, and Miyamoto admiring some knitting. A demo of the Switch 2 version of Pikmin 4 hits the eShop tomorrow, and if you ain’t played it before I’d recommend checking it out, as Pikmin 4 rules. This brief Direct was followed up by a Treehouse presentation. Nintendo of America // YouTube Switch 2 Lite rumored with cheaper Samsung chip process benefiting Nintendo console Adam Corsetti // Notebookcheck ▶ Queen’s Domain on Switch 2: First impressions — As I mentioned over on Bluesky this isn’t the sorta thing I typically go in for, but this game has got the sauce. Hanafuda Report // YouTube Queen’s Domain is more than a tribute to the King’s Field series Dominic Tarason // Steam Hype REVIEW The Séance of Blake Manor — A gripping detective story, with a distinct embrace of Irish culture and Celtic mythology. Willem notes it “falls flat a bit too often with its execution” but “its story, setting and characters are some of the finest this genre has to offer“. Willem Hilhorst // Nintendo World Report REVIEW Minecraft for Switch 2: A satisfying upgrade overall, but where’s mouse mode? — The lack of mouse support here sure is baffling. Mitch Vogel // Nintendo Life ▶ Ex-Metroid Prime engineer explains the issues with Sol Valley in Prime 4 KIWI TALKZ // YouTube Pocketpair would ‘love to have conversations’ to bring Palworld to Switch 2, CEO says — Despite ongoing lawsuits… Chris Scullion // VGC How Switch 2’s roster has been a hitmaker thanks to Nintendo taking risks Matthew Powers // Nintendo Wire You can now play one of Nintendo’s most outrageous games in English, with this AI-free fan translation — This game has plenty of real-world references including mentions of the American Civil War, slavery, Nazi Germany, Hitler, nuclear war and more. Not your usual Nintendo-fare by any means. Jack Yarwood // Time Extension Why does Luigi fight ghosts with a vacuum cleaner? — Sure, Ghostbusters, but where did they get it from? Drew Mackie // Thrilling Tales of Old Video Games ‘An important landmark’ – The forgotten Nintendo warehouse that launched the NES has been found Damien McFerran // Time Extension REVIEW Goodboy Galaxy: A brilliant GBA throwback that loves taking your toys away Nile Bowie // Nintendo Life INTERVIEW PlayStation creator Ken Kutaragi on the current state of gaming — He also touches upon doing the prototype PlayStation add-on for Nintendo here.
