In amongst the chaos of Summer Game Fest season (for lack of a better term) I wanted to shine a light on the ongoing efforts of Laura Kate Dale and her Access-Ability Showcase. There’s a dizzying amount of presentations hosted during the next week or two, and this one is unique in that it dials in on highlighting upcoming games and what accessibility features they each offer.
There’s over 20 games featured in the showcase, all of which are designed with a wide range of disabled players in mind.
I’ve just wrapped up watching it, and there’s a few games mentioned that are coming to the Switch and Switch 2, including wholesome puzzler Colorbound, action RPG Kernel Hearts and Jigrift (which has a you making a Wind Waker style island). You can catch the presentation in full here, or watch it directly below.
In addition to the presentation above, there’s also an Audio Described option, along with both ASL and BSL versions.
