Splatoon Raiders

Splatoon Raiders is a single-player spin-off arriving on Switch 2 this summer

Nintendo announced today that the single-player focused Splatoon Raiders will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23rd.

This upcoming Switch 2 exclusive was originally announced last year, but now we know much more about the treasure-hunting spin-off thanks to a new roughly three minute trailer:

During the trailer we learn that you’ll be playing as a mechanic tasked with exploring a group of tropical islands and finding goodies alongside the Deep Cut gang from Splatoon 3. Certain aspects of the trailer here gave me DK Bananza Emerald Isle DLC vibes — just me?

I’ve always liked the world of Splatoon, but never really gotten ‘good enough’ at the multiplayer to really stick with it — so I’ve always been keen on more single-player stuff set in the same world. This seems to tick that box!

Also, it’s worth noting that Splatoon Raiders is not strictly a solo affair, as you along with three pals can play through the adventure (online or locally).

The game arrives in just over three months, on Thursday, July 23rd. Preorders for the game (along with the inevitable Amiibo) are set to go live later today.
